How long will the Xterra TRX1400 last?
The Xterra TRX1400 has a lifetime warranty on the frame, meaning for a folding treadmill it is durable to say the least. It weighs a full 123.5 lbs. when fully assembled and has a 265 lb. maximum capacity, which is incredibly handy for a larger percentage of the population. We suggest moderate use of this machine along with a regular maintenance schedule to keep the TRX1400 in good working order as the parts and labor warranty is only good for 90 days.
Brief Overview
The Xterra TRX1400 is our 2nd place Best Buy Winner in the $700 - $999 price range. It is a durable treadmill with quality components and the ability to connect to third-party apps - a tremendous boon for curb appeal/retail value. It is firmly in the budget-friendly zone and attractive to many levels of fitness fans. The TRX1400 is manufactured for convenience with a folding feature and lift assist, along with transport wheels for space saving options. The lifetime warranty on the frame is an added boon for this price range and why the TRX1400 is a strong contender in our Best Buy award category.
Overall Quality
The Xterra TRX1400 has a high speed of 10 MPH supported by a 2.25 HP motor. The incline of up to 10% adds challenging climbs to exercise, though those with longer legs will have to shorten their strides on the 18” x 50” tread surface. This belt is pre-lubricated but do not think this means maintenance free or you will end up frying your control board during workout sessions.
The Xterra TRX1400 has a blue backlit 5.2” display screen along with 3/6/9 incline and speed direct push buttons. An integrated tray holds user devices for connection to third party fitness apps which makes this machine a great choice for those that like to stay plugged in during workout fun. The handrails hold both incline and speed buttons in addition to pulse grips for monitoring heart rates. Also included are 24 preset programs to challenge all levels of users and keep them trucking towards a higher level of health.

Conclusion
The Xterra TRX1400 overall is a great treadmill for beginning or returning walkers to light joggers that are on the shorter end of the height spectrum. It is a notable choice for the budget-conscious consumer yet provides an ability to connect to fitness apps through Bluetooth capabilities. The lifetime frame warranty is nice although the shorter parts and labor warranty is worrisome so shopping around might be of benefit if your budget is $1000 or less.
