How long will the TRUE Performance 100 last?
The True Performance 100 is a rugged and durable treadmill that can withstand years of use from the heavy jogger or light runner weighing less than 350lbs. Although an ideal workout environment will always be key for longevity, this unit has been built with the sturdy construction capable of handling most levels of an athlete's demands. True also backs up this purchase with a lifetime warranty on the frame, 30 years on the motor, 5 years on parts, and 1 year on labor warranty.
Brief Overview
The True Performance 100 is the basic model offering out of the choices in the PS series. It is distinguishable from the Performance 300 by price, plastic vs metal straddle holders, a finished weight difference, the orthopedic belt offering, and 2 years on the parts warranty. Other than that, both the 100 and 300 carry the same technical and functional aspects.
Overall Quality
The True Performance 100 is a decent treadmill choice for those in the mid-budget range, but it doesn't come without some tradeoffs. Plastic straddle holders do not hold up like their metal counterparts and we do not believe the belt is lower quality than the PS 300 model. Despite this, the Performance 100 was made with multiple users in mind with a running space of 21”x 60” and the 3” roller size. It has an 8.5 LCD display window and comes with 8 built in programs. The footprint is large so plan your workout space accordingly.
The True Performance 100 is comparable to less expensive models carrying a 3.0 HP motor, up to 12 MPH. and a 15% incline so if you can find it on sale, you might get your money’s worth.

Conclusion
The Performance 100 has landed in the Runner-Up spot three different times as the quality the True company offers has helped add more value to the treadmill. It is a decent entry-level model even though it is quite pricey and offers similar features to other competitive treadmills. By that same token, we caution all buyers to compare and contrast the different offerings in today’s market as the treadmill world is very competitive and when spending a large amount of money you want to make sure and get your money’s worth when you purchase.
