The A.C.T. series of ellipticals by NordicTrack is a response to people that need to maximize the amount of space they use for fitness in their homes. While they produce 'space saving' ellipticals. Those machines do take up quite a bit of room when they are folded out. In my experience it is awkward to fold and unfold machines even if they are easy to do so. Most people never fold them up. The A.C.T. series gives you space maximization by not using an elongated frame design but still gives you a decent ellipse motion.
