How long will the LifeFitness Ride CX Indoor Cycle last?

The Life Fitness Ride CX Indoor Cycle is new to the show and appears to showcase a number of pretty good features. The 5-year warranty on the frame is troublesome for the asking price but LifeFitness advertises themselves as being a pioneer in fitness equipment so hopefully this cycle will give us a good run for our money. Less maintenance is part of the Life Fitness guarantee and with the addition of the 330 lb. weight capacity, we think the bike could last a few years with a moderate user.

Brief Overview

The Ride CX offers a multitude of features to help keep the boredom at bay! With over 100 different resistance levels you can definitely bring your spin on! Dual pedal versatility offers SPD clips that are compatible with most cycling shoes while the 150 data driven rides offered really pave the way for a dedicated spinner.

Overall Quality

Just recently released, the Life Fitness Ride CX offers versatile features for the determined spinner. Grab those handlebars and go with the choice of both vertical and horizontal bars to choose from as you pedal away to your fitness goals on workouts created by ICG experts. Quickly turn up the resistance with the 300-degree dial and generate fast speeds with the 1:10 gear ratio. After your workout simply move your cycle out of the way by grabbing the handy handle on the back for easy movement on the attached wheels.
The Coach by Color program is designed for anyone looking to take their workout to the next level. This technology– Coach by Color uses the WattRate LCD computer capturing watts, heart rate, RPMs, resistance level, and exercise duration. This valuable training data is easy to understand as it is color coded into specific training zones keeping disruptions at a minimum due to the easy touch screen.

Conclusion

For the most part, Life Fitness constructed a decent bike with neat elements, we are just not quite sure the high price is worth it this early in the season. Life Fitness has definitely upped the game with the number of resistance levels and other nifty features added into this build but spending just a bit more with them can get you a much better warranty.
