Brief Overview

A good elliptical that you can buy for $200 less under the Nordictrack brand name.

Overall Quality

We would also recommend that you take Fitnessblowout's claims of a "Lifetime warranty" with a grain of salt. Just ask consumers that bought a product from them under their CardioZone brand name.

The FreeMotion USA 5.7 is a nice elliptical. Once again, this is a model that you can find from NordicTrack at a lower price. This time, you'll save $200 with their model over this one, which sells for $1,699. That wouldn't be a bad price for it if you couldn't get the same machine for cheaper.

Ergonomically speaking, this model is just okay. Many of the ellipticals in this price range have a similarly natural range of motion, but if you're willing to do some research, you can find models that sell for a couple of hundred dollars less that are ergonomically superior. The adjustability is pretty good. The stride length can be set between 20"-22", which allows you to find the length that best suits your particular body type. There are also 20 levels of digital resistance to go along with an incline ramp that ranges from -10 to 20 degrees. This ensures that you can find a setting that matches up well with your current fitness levels.

As far as projected reliability is concerned, this model is mediocre. It's very easy to find models at, or slightly below, this price range that has a longer life expectancy than this one does. The quality of parts used isn't bad, but it's not overly impressive at this cost.

The noise levels of this machine are average. Most ellipticals make about the same amount of noise regardless of the price. You can find quieter models without paying more, but you'll have to do your homework to find them. We don't believe that the average user will be bothered by the amount of noise that this machine makes.

The warranty on the FreeMotion USA 5.7 is awful. Fitness Blowout claims to offer a lifetime warranty, but consumers that have dealt with them in the past will tell you differently.
