Brief Overview
If you are in this range, consider Precor 9.23. This is essentially a 425MX with the adjustable cushioning. It is worth paying $300 for this feature but most of the newer Icon designs on the market have adjustable cushioning too.
Overall Quality
A decent machine but another brand makes more sense in the $1600 price range. This design has been around for awhile and some of their newer designs are a bit more modern but we would stop short of calling it dated.
