Brief Overview

If you want lots of adjustability on your elliptical the 360 A has a lot going for it. If you are looking for a really adjustable elliptical this is a good choice. The unfortunate thing is that you can get a very similar motion from Smooth for about $1000 less.

Overall Quality

Cybex has a long history of making high-quality products and 360 A is no exception. While other ellipticals in this price range offer different feature sets none can match the amount of stride adjustability that the Arc Trainer can except perhaps for the Smooth DMT. The Cybex 360 A is a quality elliptical, which is what we've come to expect from machines made by Cybex. You'll also get a lot of adjustabilities. This will come in handy if you have a large family full of people with different shapes and sizes that plan on using this model. At $3,495, the value is fair but not great. Ergonomically speaking, this machine is fantastic. There are very few ellipticals that we reviewed that can provide you with a more natural range of motion. The adjustability is also very impressive. The maximum stride length is a long 24". There are also 16 levels of resistance, so you can align your workout with your fitness levels. Only the Precor AMT 835 offers significantly more options for adjustments. As far as projected reliability is concerned, this machine is impressive, but if you know where to look, you can find a few ellipticals selling for $500 less than have a longer life expectancy. The quality of the parts used is also very good. The noise levels of this machine are low. Most ellipticals make about the same amount of noise, but this is one of the few that is much quieter than average. If quietness during operation is a major concern for you, you'll have a hard time finding a model that is better in this area. The warranty on the Cybex 360 A is okay. Labor is covered for 1 year, parts are covered for 5 years, and the frame is covered for 10 years. This warranty isn't bad, but we're surprised more coverage wasn't offered due to the high price and durability of this elliptical. If you are a person that wants something a little more simple than this is probably not the one for you.

History

We have liked the Cybex 360 A for its adjustability, but we have noted that you can get a similar experience for about $1,000 dollars less.
