How long will the Bowflex Treadmill 10 last?
The Bowflex Treadmill 10 has an assembled weight of 323 lbs. and has been upgraded to hold users up to 400 lbs. While still foldable, even in its upright position it has quite a large footprint so plan on a dedicated workout space. Bowflex offers a 15-year frame and motor warranty, 5-year mechanical parts, 1-year electronics, and 2 years labor warranty. Keep in mind other manufacturers offer lifetime frame and motor warranties, so shopping around might benefit a cost-conscious buyer. On the other hand, this treadmill has a good design and is built to last for a while. A moderate to average jogger should get quite a few years of performance from this model.
Brief Overview
The Bowflex Treadmill 10 is the next step up from the Treadmill 7 and offers a decline of 5% which is a selling point for serious workout enthusiasts. This is because the treadmill mimics walking or running downhill resulting in better all-around leg and lower body workouts. Other models in this price range only offer 0 to 3% decline. Also upgraded is the display – now you get 10” of interactive touchscreens use that can only be maximized with the JRNY membership offering. You must have this membership to stream through this console, luckily you receive a free 1-year membership with purchase. You only need one membership per household and the Treadmill 10 offers an unlimited number of users. The screen is adjustable which is handy in finding the perfect angle to view.
Overall Quality
The Bowflex Treadmill 10 has a motorized incline of up to 15% and a 5% decline. This means you can vary the degree in your treadmill work out for added intensity. The deck cushioning feels amazing as well, lessening impact on joints by providing a softer landing while boosting blood flow during workouts. It is also easy-to-lower for your workout by way of the SoftDrop system with a simple push of a button.
Upgraded on the Treadmill 10 is the larger running surface of 22” x 60”, meaning most users will fit comfortably on this machine during workout periods. While runners may opt for a more professional treadmill – a spirited jogger with longer strides should not find any space constrictions with this treadmill. Information on the motor size is hard to find (even conflicting on some online sites) but the company stresses it is good for up to 12 MPH and back it with a 15-year warranty. Since we have yet to encounter an industry standard for motors, maybe not advertising the specific motor is a good thing? The physical size of the motor was comparable with what we have seen in other treadmills.

Conclusion
The Bowflex Treadmill 10 is a great choice for joggers of most levels. It has everything a budding athlete could want - from its large running surface to its’ decline options that are not offered by most home treadmills under $2000. The touchscreen console also deserves mention as there are not as many interactive consoles with entertainment features on treadmills in this price range available on the market today. Keep in mind you must eventually invest in a JRNY membership to utilize the functions and streaming service in the console. While it is considerably less expensive than an iFit membership, it is still an out-of-pocket expense that comes on top of the initial treadmill purchase.
