Brief Overview
A former best buy winner back in the days when it was priced below $2,000. With that said, since it was a best buy Bodyguard raised the price over $700 so it lost its best buy rating.
Overall Quality
Bodyguard's quality even though it is made in China, it is beyond what most others are producing in Asia. If we had an Okay Buy section around $2,500, this would be my pick but my guess is their reduced volume has created a situation where each incremental unit has to cover more of the overhead. That is a common problem that we have been seeing across the industry that as the quality of the lower end has picked up, the income disparity has caused the market to split to the bottom of the market is growing and the top of the market is growing but everything in between is suffering.
