Overall Quality
The value proposition offered by the BH Fitness X5 is hard to swallow. We would think carefully about this before you buy it. While not bad machines, the value they give the user in comparison to what is available on the market is not good. Moderate quality, high price, better options available from their competitors. If this was a meal you had to eat, it would choke you to death.

History
In previous reviews, we have recommended looking over this unit. We have written about how BH Fitness came on the scene in 2008 with some ho-hum product offerings. They had trouble moving product through the traditional channels so they moved strong online through outlets like Amazon.com, Sears.com, and Walmart.com. While that sounds impressive it really isn't. Their product offerings, whether expensive or not, have such poor value compared with the competition it is hard to see how anyone could actually buy one. If you are considering the X1, X3, X4 or X5 we would recommend that you purchase something from Horizon Fitness or Icon.
